I've been around Arabian horses for as long as I can remember, growing up with them thanks to my mom’s small Arabian training business. Being immersed in that world from such a young age, my passion for the breed was sparked early on and shaped everything about my life and career in the equestrian industry.
As the founder of Daniel Training Center, I’ve had the opportunity to do what I love—working with horses that need a little extra attention and turning them into champions. It's been incredibly rewarding to help young equestrians grow into National Champion riders. My journey started in Michigan, but in 2004, I moved to Utah, where I really hit my stride and built a thriving training business. After 15 years, I moved to Arizona, where I’ve continued to develop my work with horses and riders.
In Arizona, I launched Apex Riding Academy to introduce more people to Arabian horses. I see the academy as a gateway for newcomers to get involved with the breed, and it's been wonderful to create a community where everyone, from beginner riders to seasoned competitors, can feel supported and grow. My vision is to help other trainers generate additional revenue streams while building programs that go beyond competition.
This experience was the push I needed to trust the team I had built so I could continue to operate and eventually expand my business. My amazing assistant, Kasey Moffat, who had been with me for 17 years, took charge and led our team to multiple championships. After that, I knew it was time for her to take on a lead role, giving me the space to focus on growing the Apex program and sharing what I’ve learned through writing.
My blog is all about helping people build successful lesson programs, develop profitable barns, and manage the unique challenges of our industry.
Beyond horses, I have a real love for home decor and the equestrian lifestyle, and I’m excited to share how these passions come together in everything I do.
